Kerry childcare centre calls for childcare workers to be moved up vaccine priority list

That’s according to Jackie Landers of the Listowel Family Resource Centre. Ms Landers said recent data from the HSE shows the detection rate of COVID-19 in childcare facilities is 4.6%. She said that figure is higher than in primary, secondary or special education schools. Ms Landers said there’s huge concern among childcare staff for their safety and she is calling for the sector to be brought up to level 4 in line with healthcare workers.

Calls for childcare workers to be moved up the vaccination list - January 28th, 2021

Jackie Landers, of the Listowel Family Resource Centre is calling for the vaccination of childcare workers in family resource centres to be prioritised. She told Jerry there’s huge concern among childcare staff for their safety and is calling for the sector to be brought up to level 4 in the vaccinations process, in line with healthcare workers:
