JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is investigating an incident in the area of 5th Avenue North and 10th Street North Sunday evening.
Police were urging residents in the area to stay inside their homes and lock their doors while they investigate the scene but have given the all-clear at this time.
Authorities said there is no threat to the community and police are clearing the scene.
Police are asking individuals to report anything suspicious they may have seen by dialing 911.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Thousands of people are expected to visit Jacksonville area beaches this 4th of July weekend.
Local law enforcement tells News4Jax they are ramping up their patrols to handle the crowds.
Last year’s fireworks show on Jacksonville Beach was canceled because of COVID-19, but this year it’s a go.
“Our job is to make sure everyone stays safe and have a good time,” said Commander Mark Evans with the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.
