Even before the pandemic, far-flung schools have always seen the difficulties of giving the best of education to children who lived in remote and rural areas, more so those that are easily reached by modern advancements.
This has been the advocacy of PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), ensuring that there is no learner left behind, in the quest of achieving their dreams so they can be their very best in the future. And to support this advocacy, FiberHome, a long-time partner of PLDT, joined hands and pledged support to reach last mile schools starting with the School-in-a-Bag turnover. PSF received 17 Smart School-in-a-Bag donations from FiberHome. These donations will help support the Department of Education (DepEd)’s Last Mile School’s Program.
Walking through campus, a Husker is rarely sure of their future. Most of the time, theyâre trying to make decisions in the present â choosing how to study for upcoming exams, picking courses for next semester or realizing they need to declare their major soon â but the future of a University of Nebraska-Lincoln grad is vast, with nearly every field wide open for them to explore. Some choose to stay in college a few more years for medical or law school, some will find they wonât be using their majors in their careers and others will find themselves using their degrees as much as possible through marketing, capturing photographs and video clips or making music.
