FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Franklin Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Martinsville Police Department, and the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a joint child solicitation sting entitled Operation Guardian this week and announced eight arrests on Friday.
Operation Guardian took place in Franklin where detectives posed online as a child under the age of 14. During chat room conversations, several adult men solicited sex and arranged to meet with a detective they believed to be that underage child. When the suspects appeared at the agreed-upon location to meet with the undercover detectives, they were handcuffed and taken to Johnson County Jail. It was the second Johnson County child solicitation operation in the last four months. A December 2020 raid netted 10 arrests.

The Johnson County Sheriff s Office, Franklin Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff s Office, Martinsville Police Department, and the Johnson County Prosecutor s Office conducted a joint sting called Operation Guardian Tuesday.
Detectives posed as children younger than 14 in online chat rooms, and the men made plans to meet with them to solicit sex. According to the Johnson County Sheriff s Office, there were even warnings from others in that chat room that police frequented the

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Eight people have been taken into custody as a result of the joint sting operation “Operation Guardian,” according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
From April 27-29, officers posed as children under the age of 14 in online chatrooms.
During these chats, a number of men solicited sex and arranged to meet in person with individuals they believed to be juveniles.
When a meet-up location was agreed upon and after the men showed up, they were arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail.
As a result of the sting operation, the following men were taken into custody for child solitication:

A child solicitation sting netted several arrests in Franklin this week, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
In Operation Guardian, detectives posed as a 14-year-old child in chat rooms. People interacted in those chat rooms with who they thought was a child, asked to have sex and agreed on a location to meet. Police arrested the people who arrived at the meetup spot and took them to the Johnson County Jail.
Seven men were charged with felony child solicitation in the sting, according to the release. Those men are:
