Firefighters in Harford County are battling a duplex fire in Joppatowne. Firefighters were called shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of Chimney Oak Drive and encountered flames coming from the structure. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal s Office, two people a 13-year-old girl and a firefighter were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The girl s injuries were unspecified. The firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment of burns to his arms. Numerous fire units from Harford and Baltimore counties remain at the scene. A cause remains under investigation.
