Watersound, Fla. – Connor Howe and Luka Karaulic each carded 1-under-par 71s Tuesday, leading Georgia Tech to their best round of the tournament and a 7 th place finish at the Camp Creek Seminole Invitational in Watersound, Fla. Will Dickson and Ben Smith earned top-20 finishes individually. TECH LINEUP – Tech posted its low round of the three days with only one double bogey or worse among its six players competing. As they did in Sunday’s opening round, the Yellow Jackets played holes 1 through 9 (Tech started on No. 10), much better than the back, with all six players under par. The four counters were 8-under-par collectively with only four bogeys after playing the back nine 8-over.

No. 12 Jackets Blank Tigers, 7-0 STARKVILLE, Miss. – No. 12 Georgia Tech women’s tennis swept Memphis on Monday afternoon, 7-0, to collect its first win of the season. The Yellow Jackets and Tigers wrapped up the holiday weekend with a neutral match at Mississippi State. DOUBLES ACTION – The Jackets (1-0) took the early match lead, winning the doubles point with victories from courts one and three. No. 5 Kenya Jones and Victoria Flores wasted no time, opening with a 5-0 lead over Sophie Abrams and Aran Teixido Garcia on court one. The Yellow Jacket duo sealed the win, 6-1.  Monika Dedaj and Ava Hrastar clinched the point for Tech from court three. The pair opened a 5-3 lead over Josephine Cao and Claire Sullivan, and Hrastar served out the match for a 6-4 victory. Memphis grabbed its only doubles victory from the two spot as Katherine Cao and Alisha Reayer topped Gia Cohen and Carol Lee. Knotted at 5-all, the Tigers took the next two games to pocket the match, 7-5.

Jackets Post Strong Day at Bulldog Kickoff STARKVILLE, Miss. – The 12th-ranked Georgia Tech women’s tennis team posted a strong opening day at the Bulldog Kickoff, collecting six singles wins and a pair of doubles victories. DOUBLES ACTION – The Jackets got the day started taking two of three doubles matches against Ole Miss. Tech’s No. 5 doubles pair of Kenya Jones and Victoria Flores opened with a 4-3 lead over Tereza Janatova and Sabina Machalova. Jones and Flores broke in the next game to grab a 5-3 advantage and served out the match for a 6-3 win. Gia Cohen and Carol Lee teamed up to face Ole Miss’ Kelsey Mize and Reka Zadori. The Rebels looked in control, grabbing a 5-3 lead, but the Jackets rallied to win the next four games and captured a 7-5 victory. Jackets Close Out Clemson Invite

Alexis Kitchens, were Tech’s four podium finishers during the last events of the Invite. Walls, the Jackets top performer on the day, placed second in the women’s 3000m crossing the finish line at 10:04.87. The Clemson Invite was the true freshman’s second collegiate meet of her career. Six Tech runners placed in the top-10 in the 3000m, as  McKnight joined Walls on the podium taking third with a time of 10:14.91. Kitchens set a personal best time in the 200m as she sprinted to a 24.97 third-place performance. She earned three personal best marks in three separate events throughout the Invite in the 200m, 60m (7.67) and long jump (5.74m/18’10”)
