PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriffâs Office says they have arrested a man with several drugs and a gun.
Sheriff Carter Weaver says Mathew Jenkins, of Pawleys Island has been charged with trafficking heroin 3rd degree, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine 3rd degree, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within ½ mile of a park, and two counts of possession of a pistol by a violent felon.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Officials in Georgetown County spent Saturday morning braving some cool temperatures and ocean water for a good cause.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office hosted its first Polar Plunge event at Litchfield Beach. The event was part of a fundraiser for the department, which is raising money to benefit Special Olympics South Carolina.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities arrested five people and seized drugs and several guns at a nightclub in Georgetown County that was also found to be violating Gov. Henry McMasterâs orders.
Authorities arrested Antwan Jamale White, Kadeem Denzal Williams, Edward Tyrone Pipkin III, Tyree Deshawn Gasque and John Demarcus Johnson.
Their arrest stems from an investigation that began on Wednesday when SLED agents and deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriffâs Office responded to âJulieâsâ on 1444 St. Delight Road in the Sampit area.
