(OLNEY) The Richland County TB & Health Office in Olney reported eight (8) new COVID-19 cases from over the weekend, since last Friday. Yesterday’s update shows 1,630 total positive cases involving Richland County residents, with 44 deaths, 1,576 people recovered, 40 quarantined due to contact, only 10 active positive cases all in home isolation, and 1 now hospitalized. There have been 21,050 Richland County tests with 19,420 negative results. COVID-19 testing is still available at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Use the front parking lot “B” off of North East Street from 8:00 to 6:00 seven days a week.

DHEC offers COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Ridgeland

Bobbie Baker walked to his car Thursday afternoon at the Jasper County Health Department in Ridgeland, happy to have gotten his first COVID-19 vaccine shot. I feel relieved like crazy, but I am not going wild or anything, still being careful, Baker said. I feel a whole lot better than I did before I got it.
Baker, 75, of Gillisonville, said he took a short, 10-minute drive to receive the shot. He was one of about 150 people who got appointments at the first of two Moderna vaccine clinics offered by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
