Original story: A Colfax mother is asking for help locating her teenage son and his girlfriend, who have been missing for a week.
Amanda McGinn Sharp said on March 4 her son Gavin Sharp, 15, spent the night at his grandparents home in Runnells. The next morning he was gone, along with a 2004 red Chevrolet Silverado belonging to his grandparents.
On March 6, it was discovered that Sharp s girlfriend Layla Guaillas, 14, was also missing. The Jasper County Sheriff s Office believes they are traveling together.
McGinn Sharp said Sharp and Guaillas have been dating for almost a year. She believes drama at school may have played a part in their disappearance.
