Students from University of Punjab have recorded various fantastic performances, such as singing Chinese songs, dances, etc to commemorate the day. Videos are still being solicited. The event was jointly held by Lahore Overseas Chinese Association (LOCA) and Confucius Institute at University of Punjab (CIPU). Mr. Luo Qiang, President LOCA said in his remarks that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan on May 21, 1951, people of the two countries have shared weal and woe, and forged a profound friendship through mutual help. It includes a more stringent approval process for mining and processing projects, as well as the import and export of rare earths. What’s most interesting, however, isn’t the content of the proposed measures, but what the development of such legislation says about China’s outlook on its future as the dominant player in the critical minerals space.
