Wellington Girls’ College has apologised to students and male teachers after a senior was sent home for wearing a tank top that she was told put male teachers in a vulnerable situation. Lauren Hardie, 17, arrived at school on Friday dressed in a tank top and high-waisted pants. Around midday, she was told by a staff member that her outfit was inappropriate and that it put male teachers in a vulnerable position. A member of the senior management team sent her home to get changed.
