Anderson Silva is set to make his boxing debut. In the meantime, the possibility for his fellow MMA legend in Georges St-Pierre to follow suit has been presented.
However, the UFC went ahead and blocked that from happening before the Canadian icon could even make a real decision – much to the dismay of Silva.
“I think it doesn’t make sense, especially because Georges did a lot for the sport, especially for UFC,” Anderson Silva told MMA Junkie during a Wednesday media event. “Why you hold the guy? This makes no sense.
“Georges is a fighter. You can’t hold a fighter. It’s the same if you take the lion in the jungle and put him inside a cage. The lion is going to die. You can’t do that. Nobody can do that. This makes no sense. This is terrible, terrible – completely terrible.”
Anderson Silva Slams The UFC For Blocking St-Pierre vs. De La Hoya
Anderson Silva has been speaking his mind about the UFC refusing to allow Georges St-Pierre to box Oscar De La Hoya on Triller pay-per-view.

The UFC president insisted he was not interested in doing business with Triller and advised it’s people to stop contacting him about potential fights.
‘GSP’ has since spoken of his disappointment of not being able to compete in a “dream” fight against De La Hoya which would’ve generated a lot of money for charitable causes.
Retired MMA fighter Anderson Silva is not pleased with the recent decision by UFC President Dana White, who rejected Georges St-Pierre's request to face six div.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is doing all he can to get former middleweight champion, Daniel Jacobs, one of the biggest fights of his career.
According to reporter Mike Coppinger, Hearn revealed to him several weeks ago, that he fully intended on making a multi-million dollar offer to WBO light heavyweight champion, Joe Smith Jr. Staying true to his word, Hearn did, in fact, send an offer to the Long Island native. Seemingly happy with the terms of the agreement, Smith Jr. appears to be fully on board.
“Just got word from my team that there’s an offer to fight Daniel Jacobs,” said Smith Jr. on his Instagram account. “I love this fight, especially in New York.”
