(FOX 9) ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - A 17-year-old boy is accused of shooting another 17-year-old boy in the face during an argument over a gun while they were driving around in a stolen vehicle in St. Paul, Minnesota last week.   The 17-year-old was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Elijah Watson on Dec. 14.  According to the charges, a woman who lived on the 500 block of Jessamine Avenue called 911 around 1:50 p.m. on Dec. 14 to report that an unknown boy was banging on the door trying to get in. She said he was bleeding and she thought he had been shot in the head. He then stumbled towards the street and collapsed.

At this stage, little has been released publicly about how the victim came to be shot, with officers at the scene looking for witnesses and physical evidence. The victim will be identified at a later date.

According to police, several people called 911 just before 2 p.m. reporting that someone was shot on the 500 block of Jessamine Avenue West. When officers arrived, they located a male with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers secured the scene and began looking for witnesses and any evidence. Homicide investigators are working to determine who was there and what led to the shooting.

Investigators set up a perimeter and closed part of the road as they combed the area for evidence. Barriers were erected around the victim s body, which lay in the frozen street near the trunk of a bloodied white vehicle several feet away from a Little Tikes basketball hoop.
