Country singer Lee Brice was on hand Tuesday to help celebrate the donations of hundreds of thousands of dollars to families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Through O’Charley’s four-part virtual Songwriters Cafe series, artists like Brice passionately performed in an effort to raise funds for the Folded Flag Foundation, which provides educational scholarships and grants to Gold Star families, those families who have lost a loved one in military combat. Together, the restaurant chain and the artists raised $575,000 for the charity in 2020. “For the spouses of people who have been lost overseas and their children, I got three kids, so it resonates with me,” Brice said about part of the reason he chose to support the cause. “If I wasn’t there, I can’t imagine what my wife would be going through and how much of a struggle it would be.
