(WCSC) - The City of Charleston is cracking down on masks and increasing enforcement. It’s part of an effort created by the city’s livability department where officials show up to areas of the city unannounced to make sure people are following the rules. To date the city has written 432 mask citations. Since their operation began in January they have written 301 citations, and 63 of those were written on Thursday and Friday.

She would later administer the vaccine to her fellow co-workers. NEW ULM At approximately 10:18 a.m. Connie Grams, a registered nurse at New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC), became the first person in Brown County to receive the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19. NUMC scheduled 55 vaccines to be administered to frontline staff Tuesday. The medical center plans to scheduled two vaccination days a week. The goal is to have all staff receive the first vaccination by January.

(WCSC) - Owners of a Downtown Charleston restaurant say they may have to lay off workers if Charleston County rejects their pleas to extend an agreement to provide more outdoor dining space. “We will survive but we would much rather thrive and be able to offer an outdoor patio,” Gaulart & Maliclet | Fast & French co-owner Jennifer Bremer said. “A lot of our locals and regulars want to sit outside.”
