Town council unanimously approved a motion at the July 19 meeting that a proposal for two flush-style toilets is be added to the 2022 capital plan, on the understanding that council will again review this commitment and required budget in the fall.

A request-for-proposals will be issued in late 2021 for the development of a phased, costed landscape, traffic and accessibility plan for the northbound Highway 2 Visitor Information Centre (VIC) area.
The Town is submitting a proposal to the WD Canada Community Revitalization Fund for a “transformative public space project” that would deliver sewer and water servicing to the Visitor Information Centre area, on the east side of Highway 2 northbound, with flush toilets.
