A Clarksville man went to the hospital following a single-vehicle accident Friday night on Fort Campbell Boulevard. A collision report from Hopkinsville police says 27-year old Ernesto Echevarria of Clarksville was southbound near Harvey Way when his car went off the left side of the road and struck several sign posts before coming to rest on a culvert. Man indicted for Dec 26 stabbing incident

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Jan 29, 2021 11:43 AM An indictment was returned Friday morning against the man arrested December 26 for a stabbing incident near the Manhattan Motel on South Main Street in Hopkinsville. The indictment for first-degree assault was returned against 51-year old John Chambers of Hopkinsville. Hopkinsville police were called to the 300 block of South Main outside near the Manhattan Motel a few minutes before 9 p.m. on December 26 and determined Chambers had been in a verbal dispute with Maurice Catlett that became physical. That’s when Chambers allegedly stabbed Catlett multiple times, causing injuries to his arm that sent him to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Man Indicted On Assault Charge After December Stabbing

John Chambers The Christian County Grand Jury indicted a Hopkinsville man on an assault charge after an incident on December 26 that led to a man being stabbed several times on South Main Street. The grand jury indicted 53-year-old John Thomas Chambers on a charge of first-degree assault. Hopkinsville Police said Chambers stabbed a man several times in the arm at the Manhattan Motel. The man was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Upon being taken into custody at his apartment, police found blood on his hands and pants. Yvette Simpson Also, 47-year-old Yvette R. Simpson, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on first-degree strangulation and second-degree robbery charges. Hopkinsville Police arrested Simpson on those charges in the early morning hours of January 11, after she reportedly put her knee on of her boyfriend’s neck then took his wallet, money, and his vehicle before leaving during a fight about money.

Hopkinsville woman hurt in Greenville Road accident

A single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Greenville Road injured the driver. The collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office says Jacquelin Napolski of Hopkinsville was headed south in the 9800 block of Greenville Road about 10:30 a.m. when a dog kennel in the front seat fell forward and she attempted to reposition it. That’s when her SUV went off the roadway and struck a ditch.
