Coronation Street s Sean Tully turns ruthless with Gemma Winter tonight (January 22) after she tries to pull out of their selling scheme.
Sean (Antony Cotton) has got himself embroiled in a pyramid scheme and has spent the past few weeks putting pressure on Gemma to make sales after recruiting her to get involved.
In Friday s hour-long episode, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) meets with her friend Vanessa, who has expressed interest in being part of the sales team.
When Vanessa reveals that she plans to use child maintenance money to invest in the scheme, Gemma s good nature gets the better of her and she warns her not to.
The next few weeks will see
When Gemma gets in over her head, Sean will react by piling on the pressure on both her and Chesney to get him the money they owe rather than showing compassion for them. ITV The way he sees it is that they are all in bad position, Sean needs the money and so does Chesney so Sean feels as though there is no real difference especially as he now also has his son to think about, Antony Cotton has said. He feels terribly guilty as Sean s default mode is to feel guilty but he isn t doing well at this stage and he needs the money he owed.
Unfortunately, their joy is short-lived and they later discover that not only has someone stolen all their stock, but their cash tin has also gone.
Later, Chesney and Kirk return home laden down with Christmas presents, and a delighted Gemma assumes the pair have managed to sell off all of the make-up. ITV
But Chesney and Kirk are keeping a big secret about where the money for the presents really came from and they make a pact to keep quiet about it.
Will Gemma find out the truth about where Chesney got the money from? And with Chesney clearly struggling with his financial worries, how will he cope once Christmas has been and gone?
