Trooper revives man found unconscious and without a pulse at Parkway rest stop Updated Jan 28, 2021; Facebook Share A New Jersey State Police trooper was credited Wednesday with saving the life of a 44-year-old man who collapsed on the floor of a restroom at a service area on the Garden State Parkway. Trooper John Taggart, of Troop D in Holmdel, responded about 4:50 p.m. last Friday to a report of a man who suffered a medical episode at the Monmouth Service Area in Wall Township, according to a statement from State Police. Taggart found the man on the floor unconscious and not breathing, according to police.

In February, a Trivia Night with rounds of questions focusing on books, movies, current events and sports will be offered for pre-teens between the ages of 7 and 12, but will be interesting and could be challenging for older teens. The Jeopardy-style night will be offered at 7 p.m. Feb. 17, according to a press release. (Karen Wall/Patch) BRICK, NJ A 14-year-old has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 38-year-old Brick Township man, authorities said Sunday. Mohammed Khater, 38, died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was taken following the incident, Ocean County County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio said. Brick Township police were called to a home about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and found Khater with a stab wound to the right side of his abdomen, authorities said. The home was on Herbertsville Road, the Asbury Park Press reported.
