A New Jersey State Police trooper was credited Wednesday with saving the life of a 44-year-old man who collapsed on the floor of a restroom at a service area on the Garden State Parkway.
Trooper John Taggart, of Troop D in Holmdel, responded about 4:50 p.m. last Friday to a report of a man who suffered a medical episode at the Monmouth Service Area in Wall Township, according to a statement from State Police.
Taggart found the man on the floor unconscious and not breathing, according to police.
