As part of Operation Jersey Summer, a number of COVID-19 vaccine incentives will be offered to residents in the state of New Jersey.
Gov. Phil Murphy made the announcement Wednesday from Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park.
Officials say the statewide public awareness campaign is aimed at vaccinating all eligible individuals who live, work, or study in New Jersey against COVID-19.
The new incentives include a State Parks Vax Pass, providing free access to New Jersey s 51 state parks and facilities including Island Beach State Park; a free glass of wine at participating New Jersey wineries; and dinner with Governor Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy.

The wine giveaway – nicknamed “Uncork the Vaccination – applies to people who receive their first dose of vaccine in the month of May. By showing their vaccine card, people will be able to receive a free glass of wine at one of nine participating wineries throughout the state. It’s similar to the state’s “Shot and a Beer” program.
Subscribe Very similar to our Shot and A Beer Campaign, Uncork the Vaccination will put our world-class wineries in the spotlight, Murphy said at Wednesday s press conference. Go out and get your shot in May and then head out to one of these great participating wineries, take a walk through the vineyards, and enjoy some of the best that Jersey has to offer.
Also beginning on Wednesday, any resident 18 years and older who has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine can enter to win dinner with Murphy and the First Lady.

NEW JERSEY If you were planning to sit around your fire pit this weekend to relax, you may have to do it without flames. New Jersey officials plan to ban open burning in 10 counties until further notice.
The ban on open burning takes effect at 8 a.m. Wednesday, officials said, and was put in place as fire crews continue to battle two large forest fires in the southern portion of the state.
