The new facility will feature two banquet halls, a public restaurant, and a rooftop dining area inside a three-story, 21,000 square-foot building. The planning board provided final approval on the project back in February, as HCV first reported.
In addition, there will be an open-air patio where people passing can “grab and go” their orders. It will be completed by September 2022 and cost about $12 million.
“This iconic space, while it’s no longer the Casino in the Park, brings back a sense of memory and normalcy to us here,” DeGise noted at the press event this afternoon.

Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop officially launched the Citi Bike bike-share system with a celebratory bike ride from Jersey City Hall to Hoboken’s Pier A.
The five-year agreement for the newly unified system includes 820 bikes across Jersey City and Hoboken making movement between the two neighboring cities easier than before.

Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop has nominated Rahat Chatha and Paul Scalia to serve as municipal judges to replace Judges Carlo Abad and Margaret Marley in light of them being confirmed to the Hudson County Superior Court.

The nominations will be on the agenda for the April 15th city council, and upon confirmation, Chatha will serve as a part-time Municipal Court judge, while current part-time Judge Karen DeSoto will fill one of the current full-time vacancies
