♦ The Summit-based New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble will mount its 52nd anniversary performance of “¡Ballie di Primavera! The Dances of Spring” online 7 p.m. Sunday, May 2.
The program will feature NJDTE pre-professional dancers ages 10-18 and include works by; Christopher Bloom of Ballet Hispánico, excerpts of “Don Quixote” and “Paquita” staged by the ensemble’s rehearsal director Alexandra Gonzalez, “Parallel” staged by artistic director Nancy Turano, and Paul Taylor’s “Cloven Kingdom”, staged by 20-year Paul Taylor veteran Michelle Fleet.

Fans who ve protected themselves against COVID-19 with a vaccine may get their own sections during professional hockey games at the Prudential Center in Newark as restrictions loosen in the future.
A spokesperson for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which owns the New Jersey Devils, said conversations are being had about possibly introducing vaccinated sections at the team s home venue.
Dave Sholler, executive vice president of communications for the company, said it s not expected that vaccination will be mandatory for entry. There s been heavy debate recently over the idea of vaccine passports Gov. Phil Murphy hasn t ruled out the possibility in the Garden State, but he also hasn t endorsed the idea.

The concert industry is looking toward the end of summer and into the fall for a return of the big shows, according to industry insiders.
“I think it’s a safe bet that outdoor concerts can return with some normality by early fall, and indoor concerts will follow that trend, probably by September and October,” said Jim Steen, a Manahawkin-based concert promotion veteran with Bowery Presents in New York and Pennsylvania.
“Everybody is being very optimistic for the fall,” said Stan Levinstone, owner of the Haddonfield-based SLP Concerts. “It seems people are looking at September.”
