From 3 to 10 May, Sierra Leone marks Europe Week 2021 with #TheEUandMe Roadshow

At dawn on Monday 3rd May, #TheEUandMe Roadshow and Pop-Up Photo Exhibition bus set off from Freetown on a one week journey of discovery around the country, to visit a selection of EU supported projects and to gather testimonials from the communities who have first-hand experience of their impact.
But also to share information with the public on the EU s work in Sierra Leone during the EU’s first ever national Pop-Up Photo Exhibition in Sierra Leone.
#TheEUandMe Road Show and Pop Up Photo Exhibition is organised by the EU in Sierra Leone to mark Europe Week 2021 in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland and Germany.

Cologne/Rajasthan. The spread of a new Coronavirus mutation has led to a dramatic increase in the number of new infections in India over the past few days. In no other country in the world are so many people being infected with the virus.
“The news reaching us from India is frightening. People are dying in front of hospitals because there is no capacity. There is a shortage of oxygen, intensive care beds, and medical supplies. We are doing everything we can to help right now,” said Cordula Wasser, Head of the Asia Department of Malteser International.
Based on the feedback we received last year on our new and decentralized approach to our stakeholder engagements, we did want to continue on that same target. This meeting has proven to be essential for growth, sustainability, and positive. The meeting among other outcomes is focused on driving conversations on the local level and ideating key solutions and bridging the skills gap. This engagement is pivotal to delivering a policy document that would feed into the development of a well-structured and informed curriculum and ultimately, a roadmap for achieving a local digital economy through a digital media transformation in Ghana.
