Urban Indigenous people visiting the Brandon Friendship Centre for their COVID-19 vaccination are in good hands for the two days the vaccine will be offered next week, said the centre’s board president, Jason Gobeil.

Urban Indigenous people visiting the Brandon Friendship Centre for their COVID-19 vaccination are in good hands for the two days the vaccine will be offered next week, said the centre’s board president, Jason Gobeil.
Knowledge Keepers and Elders will be on hand to help with the process of vaccination as Indigenous people make their way through the centre on April 27 and May 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Brandon Urban Aboriginal Peoples Council (BUAPC), while in the process of finding a new community co-ordinator, welcomed two new citizen-at-large appointments earlier in the year.
Deborah Huntinghawk and Darlene Paquette joined the council though Huntinghawk rejoins after serving as the representative for the Brandon Friendship Centre.
