Callum Boan A SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy with cerebral palsy is taking on a 10k Boxing Day wheelchair challenge to thank the charity which helped him receive life-changing treatment. Callum Boan, from Sutton, was supported by charity Tunza s Pride soon after the charity s founding in 2004. Parents Adele and Stewart contacted Tunza to see if they could support them in their quest to raise funds for life-changing treatments so that Callum could be given as independent a life as possible. Callum had been born with cerebral palsy and could not walk unaided. After extensive research his parents found that botox type injections into Callum s ligaments and muscles could help stretch vital parts of his legs so he could attempt to walk freely and adapt to a different, more independent, lifestyle.
