This is part of the first dedicated commercial PSLVC51 mission for its commercial company NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) The PSLV-C51/Amazônia - 1 mission will carry Brazil’s Amazônia-1 as the primary payload, along with 18 other guest satellites, including five Indian satellites.

India, Brazil launch Amazônia-1 on PSLV rocket February 27, 2021 The Indian Space Research Organization has launched their first mission of 2021 with a flight of their Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) to deliver Brazil’s Amazônia-1 satellite, along with 18 co-passengers, into Sun-synchronous orbit. Liftoff from First Launch Pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, India, occurred Sunday, 28 February at 10:24 IST at the launch site which is 04:54 UTC, or Saturday, 27 February at 23:54 EST. Payloads Amazônia-1 is the first Earth observation satellite designed, built, tested, and operated completely by Brazil and is the first of three such satellites planned by the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), a Brazil’s space research and exploration company.

Sivan during a virtual address from Bengaluru on Thursday. He addressed the students and faculty members of three institutions - Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology in Chennai and G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur - as he virtually inaugurated their respective satellite ground stations. The satellites developed by the students from these three institutions will be a part of the UNITYSat, which will be launched into orbit on February 28 by ISRO’s PSLV C-51.
