James Earl Watkins pleaded guilty on Monday to first-degree murder and admitted to three allegations for kidnapping, robbery and lying in wait, the DA office said. Watkins will be sentenced on Aug. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at the Shasta County Superior Court.
