JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) is slowly approaching their new normal as 2021 continues.
Library Director Joe Rector says the board continues to watch COVID-19 numbers and vaccinations while they relax restrictions and return to some normalcy.
Rector says their Saturday hours will be from 11 AM to 4 PM. He added in-person meetings and events are still on hold, but the board will continue to monitor COVID moving forward.
With that, Rector says they’ve also been able to continue their renovations and plans for the future of the Stutsman County Library.
The Stutsman County Library is also looking to purchase a 3D printer with assistance by the Friends of the JRVLS.
Shelves are being built to house the items and are displayed in a glassed-in office so patrons can see it as they walk into the library.
In other library news, Rector says now is a good time to start thinking about their seed library.
The seed library will be open to the public on March 1st starting at 10 AM. Rector adds there will be a Modern Day Victory Gardens program put on by Alicia Harstad from the NDSU Extension Service on March 16th with a Q&A at the end.
Renovations are also nearly complete at the library.
