JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Visitors in the Jamestown Public School District along with students and staff will be “strongly encouraged” to wear masks inside Jamestown Public School buildings starting May 17th.
Jamestown Public School Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech says to this point, the board and officials have taken great care since the pandemic began to keep the students and staff safe.
With that, Dr. Lech says it was up to the school board to decide the next steps in their Health & Safety Plan. He provided a list of choices the school board could make, adding that any decision they made would be polarizing.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Construction on the shared University of Jamestown and Jamestown High School stadium and practice field is well ahead of schedule.
Jamestown Public School Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech reports that fundraising on the project is continuing, with a generous donation of $500,000 recently announced by Unison Bank.
Dr. Lech added that the ability to quickly fundraise is indicative of the community support of the $11.5 million project and they feel they’re “on the right track.”
JLG architects has kept both the University and Jamestown Schools updated on the construction progress. Dr. Lech says good weather has really put the project ahead of schedule.
