A downtown Jamestown housing project is still moving forward, although no construction start date has been announced, according to David Klein, executive director of the Great Plains Housing Authority. I know things are a go, he said. They are waiting for some construction contracts to be finalized.
No date has been set for the start of demolition planned before the construction of the 33-unit housing development on the site of the vacant Eagles Club in Jamestown.

Stutsman County Commission reviews gun range plan
The Stutsman County Commission reviewed but did not act on a proposed lease of land for a planned shooting range near the Jamestown Reservoir. Written By: Keith Norman | ×
The Stutsman County Commission took no action on a preliminary request to lease land east of the Jamestown Reservoir for a proposed gun range Tuesday.
Keith Domke, president of the Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range, had requested the county enter into a long-term lease for 27 acres and agree to construct and maintain road access.
Domke said the organization was planning an indoor pistol and rifle range with a possible outdoor archery range. He said that the project would not need the entire 27-acre parcel.
