GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Months after a woman went missing in Josephine County, her family is upping the reward. The family of a Lane County woman who went missing in Josephine County is now offering a reward for any information leading to her return.
It’s been 9-months since 45-year old Fauna Frey went missing. Her father is now offering a $50,000 reward for the return of his daughter. Other smaller cash rewards will be given for any information leading to Fauna’s disappearance.
“Somebody somewhere has to know something and that’s what we need to find out,” said John Frey, Fauna’s father.

Update (04/15/2021 2:56 p.m.) – The deputy involved in a shooting this past March has been cleared of wrongdoing and will not face any charges. According to an autopsy, victim Dale Dunn’s fatal injury was self-inflicted.
Original story: JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – Numerous law enforcement agencies are investigating after a deputy shot at a vehicle during a possible double homicide investigation.
The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office said just before 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, deputies got a report about a vehicle that was engulfed in flames in a remote area off McMullen Creek Road, about seven miles from Lake Selmac.
Police responded but firefighters weren’t able to make it to the scene due to poor road conditions.

The Josephine County Sheriff s Office said that the officer involved is back on active duty, though the other drivers involved were never located.

SELMA, Ore. The officer who shot at an unidentified driver during a confrontation south of Lake Selmac last month has been cleared for a return to active duty, according to the Josephine County Sheriff s Office.
The officer-involved shooting followed the grim discovery of two bodies in a burned vehicle off McMullen Creek Road on March 24. According to newly-released details from the Sheriff s Office, the burned vehicle was found at the end of a logging road, several miles from Lakeshore Drive.

KERBY, Ore. Oregon State Police says that a Kerby man died on Monday evening after his vehicle was hit by a dump truck on Redwood Highway.
OSP troopers and emergency crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash just north of Kerby shortly before 7 p.m. According to the results of an initial investigation, 60-year-old Billy Thornhill was pulling onto the highway from a driveway into the path of an oncoming dump truck.
