According to an incident report from the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 10:57 a.m. on State Hwy. 34, two miles west of Akeley. Involved in the crash were a 2016 Kia Sorento driven by Carmen Mary Norenberg, 48; a 2014 Buick LaCrosse driven by Ashlee Marie Altobelli, 27; and a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Shawn Adrian Stelzer, 45. The report says the Kia and the Buick were traveling west on Hwy. 34 when the Kia struck the front right side of the Buick, causing both vehicles to spin out.
