ALBANY - A state senator was stripped of his chairmanship of the chamber s Crime Victims Committee after he was charged Tuesday in a domestic violence incident.
Sen. Luis Sepulveda, D-Bronx, was arrested and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a misdemeanor, after an alleged domestic dispute at his home on Saturday, according to the New York Police Department.
Police responded to a 911 call of a domestic incident inside of a Bronx residence between a 40-year old female and a 56-year old male who both stated the other party assaulted them. The investigation is on-going, police said.
