3 killed in separate Birmingham traffic crashes on Monday

Three people were killed Monday in separate crashes in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Joshua Alexander Plourde, 25, Denzel Lorenzo Billups, 30 and Malera Shanell Staples, 24.
Plourde, of Homewood, was the driver of a vehicle that wrecked at 7:28 a.m. Monday in the 5500 block of First Avenue South. Details of the wreck weren’t made available, but Plourde was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:46 a.m.
Billups, of Birmingham, was driving a motorcycle that was involved in a two-vehicle wreck. The wreck happened at 2:55 p.m. at Pearson Avenue at 17th Place S.W. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:09 p.m.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reports three people were killed in separate car wrecks Monday.
Joshua Alexander Plourde, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on 1st Avenue South in Birmingham around 7:30 a.m.
Denzel Lorenzo Billups, 30, died just after 3 p.m. after his motorcycle was involved in a two-vehicle wreck on Pearson Avenue at 17th Place SW.
Malera Shanell Staples, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on I-59 South at mile marker 123. The accident happened around 10:45 p.m.
