The Buttered Crumb, a 4-year-old business offering made-from-scratch pies, kiffles, sticky buns and other baked goods, is planning to open its first brick-and-mortar shop in late June or early July at 6937 Route 309 in New Tripoli.

Predicting a nor easter can be very difficult, especially since there s a sharp cut off in who gets a lot of snow and who doesn t. The forecast can change very quickly.
While the North Country only got a couple of inches of snow, the Southern Valleys got a couple of feet of snow last night. One Cooperstown local, Josh Edmonds, said I woke up this morning and I was like wow. We re not going to work today. Another Cooperstown resident, Ralph Snell, said I was remarking to my wife how this is like a really deep snow for one of the initial snows.
