A lecturer with the University of Jos in Plateau State, Dr. Dan Ella has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The PUNCH gathered that Ella, with the Department of Theatre Arts in the institution, was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday by gunmen who attacked his residence located at Haske quarters in Lamingo community, Jos North Local Government Area of the state
Haske quarters, behind Stanel Oil, is the same community where gunmen last month kidnapped a Professor and her husband and later released them after allegedly collecting ransom.
A member of the community, Philip Gyang confirmed the latest abduction to our correspondent in Jos on Wednesday.

Suspected kidnappers have reportedly snatched Dr Dan Ella, a lecturer at the University of Jos, Plateau State.
DAILY POST gathered that the lecturer with the Department of Theatre Arts was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday.
It was also gathered that the gunmen attacked his residence located at Haske quarters in Lamingo community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report as the University management has not issued any statement on the occurrence.

Kidnappers demand N10 million ransom for university lecturer
The UniJos lecturer was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday at his residence University of Jos, have demanded a ransom of N10 million to secure his release.
The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) of the institution, Lazarus Maigoro, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Jos.
NAN reports that gunmen abducted Mr Ella in the early hours of Wednesday at his residence, Haske Quarters, Lamingo community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.
“This is a sad development; gunmen coming after our members who are just average Nigerians.
