CORNWALL – A Quebec man will be spending another two years in prison for a stabbing outside a Cornwall bar in 2018.
Gyasi Burke, 38, of Chateauguay, Que. was sentenced Dec. 18 in a plea deal where he avoided a charge of attempted murder.
Instead, he pled guilty to aggravated assault, as well as charges of possession of a dangerous weapon and assault. Another five charges were withdrawn by the Crown, according to court records.
