Five people sickened after drinking raw milk produced in Clallam County KING 5 Staff © Provided by KING-TV Seattle Five people in western Washington became ill after consuming raw milk produced by Dungeness Valley Creamery in Clallam County, according to the Washington Department of Health (DOH).  The DOH said the raw milk product may be contaminated with Campylobacter bacteria, which can cause serious illness. Dungeness Valley Creamery has issued a voluntary recall of all raw milk with a Best By date of April 13, 2021, or earlier. The DOH recommended people not drink any raw milk product with that date or to discard any leftovers.

Health officials urge consumers not to drink any Dungeness Valley Creamery raw milk product with a ‘Best By’ date of April 13, 2021, or earlier, and to discard any leftover product, or return it to the place of purchase.

Dungeness Valley Creamery issued a voluntary recall of all its raw milk products with a “best by” date of April 13, 2021, or earlier. These products may be contaminated with Campylobacter bacteria, which can can serious illness. The infection can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. Most people recover on their own, but anyone immuno-compromised may be at risk for a severe illness.
