Parts of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area will be placed under the red zone in the province’s tiered framework for COVID-19 restrictions as of Tuesday, allowing a wide swath of businesses to reopen.
The province has announced stay-at-home orders will be extended to Feb. 16 for Waterloo region, Guelph, Wellington County and Dufferin County. Meanwhile, Region of Waterloo Public Health reported 39 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday while Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph reported 65 over the weekend.

K-W, Guelph schools allowed to restart in-class learning Monday
The province has given the green light for local schools to return to in-class instruction as of next Monday, Feb. 8.
