The Great Agri-Food Debate is back with a bang for 2021 but in a different format to previous years – undergoing the virtual treatment to ensure compliance with current Covid-19 restrictions.
Students of food and agriculture at six third-level colleges from across Ireland and the UK will gather virtually for the 6th Annual Great Agri-Food Debate across three days in March and April.

This year’s debate also brings another new dimension to proceedings with the involvement of the University of Aberystwyth, marking the first time a college from outside the island of Ireland has been involved.

The Higher Education Institutes of Ireland themselves are offering merit-based scholarships.
60 scholarships will be provided for one year’s education at Bachelors, Masters or PhD levels.
Ireland has become and remains one of the top English-speaking destinations for international students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Thus, to encourage students and provide them assistance, the Government of Ireland has announced scholarships worth 1,500,000 Euros.

The government of Ireland on Thursday announced undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships worth 12, 00, 000 Euros for Indian students. It will host a virtual showcase (an education fair) on February 27 to bring together 20 of Ireland s top higher education institutions with prospective students from all across India and Sri Lanka.
The scholarship amount marked for Sri Lankan students is 3, 00, 000 lakh Euros, read the statement issued by the government.
