More of the IB high school students in Polk County Public Schools
IB high school students take some of the most rigorous courses offered in Polk County Public Schools, including IB and Advanced Placement classes, designed to be on par with college coursework. They also take end-of-year exams and must pass those to earn credit.
In order to receive an IB Diploma a student must earn passing scores on all six of their IB exams and must also complete their Creativity, Action and Service project, which “requires that students actively learn from the experience of doing real tasks beyond the classroom.” Finally, they must also research and write a 4,000-word, extended essay due their senior year.
