A man who broke a fellow motorist s nose as a result of “road rage” has received a fully suspended sentence.
Dylan King (27) performed a u-turn in order to follow the victim, pulled open the victim s car door when he was stopped at a junction and punched him in the face.
King of Longdale Terrace, Ballymun, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm at Hazelwood Terrace, Ballymun, on March 5, 2019.
He has previous convictions for road traffic offences.
Garda John Fitzpatrick told Tony McGillicuddy BL, prosecuting, that on the date in question, Gary O Donovan was driving in the Ballymun area when he had to pull slightly across into the opposite lane to avoid an obstacle on the road.
Sheet metal worker jailed after €75,000 worth of cannabis is found in his home

A sheet metal worker has been jailed for three years after gardai found over €75,000 worth of cannabis in his home.
Luke Cummins (24) of Kilcronan Green, Clondalkin, Dublin pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possession of drugs for sale or supply at his home on February 2, 2019.
The court heard that on that date gardaí acting on confidential information went to the house in Clondalkin with a search warrant. During a search of the premises they found cannabis herb stashed in a number of places.
A former caretaker at a boys school has being jailed for ten years for continuous sexual abuse of young boys at the school throughout the 1980s.
Bernard Browne (62) used the promise of small amounts of cash to entice the boys into situations where he would sexually molest them.
He would ejaculate while rubbing himself naked against them and convinced some of the children that he was only doing this to collect his sperm and donate it to childless couples.
Browne with a former address at Brighton Rd., Foxrock, Dublin pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecently assaulting three boys on dates between 1983 and 1990.

Since then four civil actions have been filed, adding to five others already lodged with the High Court.
Dave Coleman of Coleman Legal Partners, which is representing some of McClean’s victims, said he expected the number of cases to grow.
“More people are coming forward to seek recompense for what happened to them,” he said.
For three decades McClean was an English and drama teacher, who also coached rugby, but he left the school in 1996 after allegations were made against him and took up a role coaching rugby at UCD.
