Researchers said that reaction times were longer when drunk, and those riding e-scooters often failed to break their falls with their hands, and therefore landed on their faces. The study looked at records from 23 patients who ended up at Turku University Hospital in 2019. Rentable e-scooters had arrived on the streets of Finland s former capital at the start of the summer that year.
