A Dallas County Sheriff’s Office employee has been accused of theft after an audit of inmate property found discrepancies, the department says.
Umeka T. Myers, a clerical supervisor, was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail on Wednesday morning on a charge of theft of property over $2,500 but under $30,000. Her charge was enhanced because she is a public servant, the department said.
