Premium Content Subscriber only A SERIAL offender with an atrocious criminal history has again been jailed after he attempted to enter a woman s car while she was refuelling at a Townsville service station. Frank James Bowman Shepard faced the Townsville Magistrates Court from prison and pleaded guilty to 11 serious offences including attempt to unlawfully enter a vehicle, evasion, obstruct police, driving without a licence, driving unregistered, uninsured and with number plates suspected of being stolen. He further pleaded guilty to several drug offences including possessing property suspected of being used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and possessing utensils or pipes for use.

Premium Content Subscriber only A TOWNSVILLE father cut off his GPS tracker days before he snatched a man s iPhone from his hands to read its messages. Trent Walker, 21, pleaded guilty to two charges in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Tuesday via video link from the Townsville Correctional Centre. The charges were one count of wilful damage and one count of stealing The court heard Walker was on parole when on February 1 he cut off his GPS tracking device worth $500. Police prosecutor Anita Page said that nine days later Walker snatched an iPhone 6 that he perused for messages before stealing it and telling the victim not to leave the house.

Date Time Police update: additional charges in money laundering investigation at Townsville Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command’s Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) Northern Region have charged an additional two people following the closure of Operation Sierra Avalanche, an investigation into alleged money laundering. A 26-year-old Burdell man was charged yesterday (May 10) with one count of dealing in the proceeds of crime over $100,000. Police will allege the man laundered over $800,000 in cash between April and August 2020. A 38 year-old Oonoonba man was charged on May 5 with one count each of money laundering over $100,000, dealing with instrument of crime, possession of tainted property, possession of a thing used in the commission of a crime, possession of drugs and three counts of conducting transactions to avoid reporting obligations.

Police capture moment they discover cannabis plants in a Townsville house

Share Bodycam footage showed police exploring a number of rooms in the house, finding plants under ultraviolet light inside hydroponic grow tents in one room and bushy plants on multiple stands inside other rooms.
