If you ve been dreaming of a white Christmas, you re in luck there is a growing chance that Tuscaloosa could see snow on Christmas Eve.
The latest forecast from Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa and ABC 33/40 Chief Meteorologist James Spann calls for a chilly end of the week. A cold front is expected to move across the state late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Thursday will be a day with temperatures falling into the 30s with an icy north wind. There is some chance of a little light snow, or snow flurries during the day as the cold air rushes in, but the deeper moisture will be pulling away, meaning little chance of anything meaningful, Spann said.
Tuscaloosa Thread this morning, the fire occurred late Tuesday night at Cottondale Efficiency Apartments off Highway 11 in Cottondale.
Perry Madison, owner of the Cottondale Efficiency Apartments, said that the fire was reported just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Madison said 11 units were destroyed in the fire, and one resident sustained a mild head injury when evacuating.
Madison says the American Red Cross has offered to assist the families impacted by the fire, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa is currently developing plans to help those families during the holiday season.
