Lacking a car or bus pass to help her reach local vaccination sites, Caprice Pierre ’21 had planned to wait until returning home to New Jersey after graduation to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
But when Cornell offered a clinic on campus April 23, it was easy for the nutritional sciences major to walk from her North Campus residence to Bartels Hall to receive a first dose of the Moderna vaccine.
The Tompkins County Health Department (TCHD) is announcing this weekâs COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics. TCHD and Cayuga Health System will hold a clinic for everyone who is 18 years old or older at the Mall Site, and a small pop-up clinic for Newfield residents in the Village of Newfield on Thursday, April 29. Both clinics will use Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine previously allocated to Tompkins County. Appointment links have been sent to individuals on the Tompkins County COVID-19 vaccine registry and have been posted on the TCHD website. Â

Joanna Papadakis ’21 has received the 2021 Cornell Campus-Community Leadership Award, an annual honor given by the Division of University Relations to a graduating senior who has shown exceptional town-gown leadership and innovation.
Papadakis, a senior in the College of Human Ecology, was joined by family, friends and Cornell staff and faculty at the award’s first virtual ceremony, hosted by Joel Malina, vice president for university relations.

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Tompkins County Health Department’s announced a vaccination clinic for all eligible individuals set for this Saturday.
There are a limited number of appointments available for the clinic, which will run from 8 AM to 4 PM at the old Sears Building in the Shops at Ithaca Mall.
You do not need to sign up for the health department’s Vaccine Registry in order to participate in the clinic.
The vaccines available are the Moderna vaccine, which means that appointments are only available for those age 18 or older.
