8 hours ago in Crime, Local Photo: WHCU ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) The Ithaca Police Department has released an update on the homicide that took place in Ithaca early Tuesday morning. Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Alan Godfrey of the Ithaca area. IPD believes Godfrey was targeted in the homicide and it wasn’t a random act of violence. As a reminder, the incident took place in the 200 block of Taughannock Boulevard at approximately 12:43am. The Ithaca Police Department is still working with the FBI, NYS Police, and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation.
