January 20 is observed as Shaheed Asad Day. Serajul had undergone a heart surgery and heap transplant earlier, but was not comorbid, said Mushtuq, a former general secretary of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union or DUCSU.
Dr Mir Jamal Uddin, a physician at the NICVD, said Serajul has breathing problems, lung infection and heart complications.
“It’s difficult to say what condition he is in now because he is an aged person. We will conduct more tests tomorrow (Thursday),” the doctor said.
A confirmed bachelor, Serajul is now living with his brothers in Dhaka’s Kalabagan after a long stay in the US, said Mushtuq.
Report in rape abetment case against Nur on Jan 28

DHAKA, Jan 7, 2021 (BSS) –A court here today set January 21 for the submission of the probe report in a case against six, including Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) former vice-president (VP) Nurul Haque Nur, for alleged abduction, rape, abetting rape and offences under the Digital Security Act.
Today was set for the submission of the investigation report in the case.
But, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Habibur Rahman set a new date as the investigation officer of the case did not submit the report.
On the night of September 20, a case was filed with Lalbagh Police Station against Nur for his alleged involvement in provoking a rape incident.

Kader, who contracted COVID-19 soon after being diagnosed with cancer, breathed his last at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka at 8:20 am on Saturday, his daughter-in-law Zahida Islam confirmed.
His body will be taken to his Mirpur DOHS home from the hospital but no decision has been taken yet about his funeral services, Zahida added.

A case has been filed against Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu), with a Brahmanbaria court for making derogatory remarks on the government and several government institutions during a Facebook live session.
Brahmanbaria District Chhatra League President Rabiul Hossain Rubel filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Ayesha Begum this morning.
The magistrate will hear the case later, reports our correspondent quoting the plaintiff s lawyer Advocate Ekram Hossain.
According to the case statement, Nur appeared on Facebook live on December 16 where he tried to instigate people, making derogatory comments about the government and several government institutions.
